(Original post 16 March 2013) Editor's comment: Cantor stopped offering forex, indices and commodities markets on 15 March 2013 and sold the service (client base) to Spreadex – see http://www.cleanfinancial.com/cantor_index_sells_… for details.

As someone who spread bets, I don't understand the service that's left. Forex, indices and commodities normally account for 90% of trades. Yes, Cantor have ‘Spot equity spread bets' but that is a very limited spread betting service for most spread bettors.

I appreciate Cantor runs a large brokerage but having a little spread betting business on the side may just be a distraction. One wonders how long before the unit closes.

Of course, if anyone from Cantor wants to shed some light, please do so.
