Will concerns over US growth and increasing diplomatic tensions surrounding Syria undermine the equity markets?
This week Michael Hewson takes a look at:
- The S+P 500 index which has broken below 1675. Prices are much higher than the 200 week moving average and we could see a bearing-engulfing month
- US 10 year treasuries, again with prices so far away from the 200 day moving average we could see a short-medium term pullback. 3% could be a short-medium term cap for US bonds
- Dollar/yen which has been capped by Ichimoku cloud resistance and trendline resistance from the ¥103.75 highs. Whilst the resistance continues we could see a move towards the long-term trendline around ¥95.60 / ¥95.70.
