UK Share Trading
- FTSE 100 shed 0.1%, to close at 5,899.9.
- Bunzl climbed 3.7%, after JPMorgan Cazenove upgraded the stock to “Overweight”.
- BAE Systems rose 2.9%, ahead of its full-year results this week, on hopes that the company might announce buy-back of its shares.
- Capita gained 2.1%, on news that it had been selected as recommended supplier for a 10-year army recruitment project.
- Banking stocks, RBS, Lloyds banking Group and Standard Chartered fell between 1.7% and 5.2%, as risk appetite decreased among investors.
- Miners, Rio Tinto, Vedanta Resources and Xstrata declined between 2.4% and 3.1%, in line with a fall in base metal prices.
