Leading spread betting company Spreadex has been shortlisted for Spread Betting Company of the Year in the prestigious 2011 World Finance Exchanges & Brokers Awards.
Over 20 financial spread betting firms collated votes via World Finance’s website, whose visitor traffic consists of key decision makers and CEOs from financial institutions around the world.
The long list has now been whittled down to a final four with industry giants IG Index also nominated alongside Spreadex.
Spreadex spokesman Andy MacKenzie said the nomination shows how much the company has progressed. “It’s a great honour to be nominated in the World Finance awards for the first time and reflects some of the advances we have made in the past 12 months on both the financial and sports side of the business,” he said.
“On the financial side, we have added ETFs and Daily Future commodity markets, as well as cut the majority of our Spot Forex spreads”.
The 2011 World Finance Exchanges & Brokers Awards will recognise spread betting companies that have built investment strategies that give proven returns above those of their competitors, as well as those who have excelled in providing an unparalleled service to their clients.
The awards will recognise the best organisations and individuals within the sector. This will be measured by capital, equity, liquid growth and trading volumes as well as issues such as transparency, corporate governance, and sustainability.
Together with financial results, some of the more important factors are as follows:
Settlement system efficiency
Transparency
Technology leadership
Quality of listings
Proof of continued development and progress
Range of securities traded
Corporate responsibility
Market leadership
Award winners will be announced in the March/April 2011 issue.
