IG Markets Android Trading App

IG Markets, the CFD provider of the year, has bolstered its suite of tailored mobile apps and launched an Android trading app.
The new app is free and gives existing IG Markets clients a range of mobile functions similar to the IG Markets online trading platform.
Prospective CFD traders, meanwhile, can access live market data and apply for an account directly from their smartphone.

Arman Tahmassebi, IG Markets Managing Director, commented, “We want to ensure that all IG Markets clients have the ability to review the markets and place trades whenever it suits them.
“Following an incredibly successful launch for our CFD iPhone app and given the growing popularity of Android handsets, this was an obvious next step for us. With mobile dealing now accounting for approximately 15% of all client transactions, this market simply cannot be overlooked.”
IG Markets clients on Android can trade CFDs across a full range of markets, including shares, stock indices, commodities and FX.
Additional functions also include:
- Generating charts with customised timeframes
- Setting or editing working orders
- Reviewing open positions
- Creating and updating Watchlists
- Real-time balance information
Android CFD Trading App
Android continues to lead in the UK smartphone market, with the data from Kantar Worldpanel showing handsets using this operating system to be more than twice as popular as Apple or RIM smartphones.
Comprehensive further releases to the Android app, incorporating support for tablet and small-screen devices among other additions, have already been scheduled.
