Over at Clean Financial we like to help our readers, sometimes it’s a look at the crude oil markets, perhaps some tips or maybe something a little more fun.

So how does a pair of tickets to see England v South Africa at Lord’s on Saturday 12 July sound?

Financial Spreads have a pair of tickets to see England v New Zealand at Lord’s and there aren’t too many catches especially if you’re an existing client who has placed a few bets**.


Entering the Draw
  • You must have a Financial Spreads account (you still have time to open an account – see Option B below)
  • You must have placed 2 opening non-equity spread bets on your Financial Spreads account between 9am, Wednesday 18 June and 10am, Monday 30 June

Entering the Draw

To enter the prize draw, simply email your name and preferred contact phone number to marketing@financialspreads.com along with the answer to the following question.

Which of these three players currently holds the record for the most England Test Match Runs?

A) Michael Vaughan
B) David Gower
C) Graham Gooch

The Options

Option A) - You have a Financial Spreads account

  • To be eligible for the draw, make sure you have placed any 2 opening non-equity spread bets on your Financial Spreads account between 9am, Wednesday 18 June and 10am, Monday 30 June
  • Enter the draw by 10am, Monday 30 June (see Entering the Draw above)
  • Please note that spread bets carry a high level of risk so you should only speculate with money you can afford to lose. You can lose more than your initial deposit and stake. Before you open an account, please ensure that spread betting matches your investment objectives, familiarise yourself with the risks involved and if necessary seek independent advice
Option B) - You do not yet have a Financial Spreads Account
  • You will need to open an account with Financial Spreads. Account Terms and Conditions Apply. Accounts are subject to status
  • To be eligible for the draw, make sure you have placed 2 opening non-equity spread bets on your Financial Spreads account between 9am, Wednesday 18 June and 10am, Monday 30 June
  • Enter the draw by 10am, Monday 30 June (see above)
  • Please note that spread bets carry a high level of risk so you should only speculate with money you can afford to lose. You can lose more than your initial deposit and stake. Before you open an account, please ensure that spread betting matches your investment objectives, familiarise yourself with the risks involved and if necessary seek independent advice

* England v South Africa First Test Tickets - Financial Spreads Competition Rules:
  1. The prize is one pair of cricket tickets to see England v South Africa at Lord’s on Saturday 12 July 2008
  2. To be eligible to enter the prize draw clients must place two non equity spread bets with Financial Spreads between 9am, 18 June 2008 and 10am, 30 June 2008
  3. Only opening trades count towards the two qualifying bets. Closing or partially closing bets will not count towards the qualifying bets
  4. To enter the prize draw email your answers to marketing@financialspreads.com
  5. All entries must be completed before the closing date, 10am Monday 30 June 2008
  6. The Prize Draw will take place at 1pm Monday 30 June 2008
  7. Prize winners will be contacted within 1 day of the closing date
  8. The prize must be claimed by 3pm Tuesday 1 July 2008 or the prize will be forfeited and passed to another client
  9. Tickets will be sent to the winner by registered post
  10. The prize does not include transportation, accommodation, food or beverages which shall be the responsibility of the prize winner and their guest
  11. The prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable, non-refundable and there are no cash alternatives. Your statutory rights remain unaffected
  12. If under Lord’s rules there are adverse weather conditions which allow a refund, the winner may return both tickets to Financial Spreads who will then make a payment of the amount refunded by Lord’s to a charity of the winner’s choice
  13. Entry is limited to one entry per client
  14. Entry is limited to one entry per household
  15. Clients are liable for any trades that are made and any resulting losses
  16. Participants must be 18 years of age or over
  17. Where the age of majority in a country in which a participant resides is more than 18 years of age, a participant must have reached the age of majority
  18. Financial Spreads clients, employees and their agencies are not eligible to participate
  19. This draw is void in all countries and territories where spread betting is prohibited by law
  20. Participants outside the eligibility requirements may not participate and will not be eligible for the prize
  21. Financial Spreads will not be responsible for lost, late or misdirected entries, for incorrect or incomplete entry information, whether caused by a participant, equipment or technical malfunction or by any other human error
  22. The decision of the promoter will be final and no correspondence shall be entered into
