- At 0500 BST today, German DAX Xetra 30 futures are trading 2.0 points down, while French CAC-40 futures are trading 1.2 points lower.
- At 0500 BST today, DJIA futures are trading 4.0 points lower.
- Nikkei 225 is trading 0.1% higher, at 15,369.1.
- In Asia, crude oil for June delivery is trading 0.1% or $0.07 higher at $96.78 per barrel.
- At 0400 BST today, the GBP is trading 0.1% lower against the USD at $1.5250, 0.1% down against the EUR at €1.1830, and 0.3% higher against the JPY at ¥156.38.

Macro Economic Review
[05:00am update]
The RBA, in minutes of its latest meeting, pinpointed a softer-than-expected inflation outlook as the main reason for rate cut.
Japan's machine tool orders declined 23.6% YoY in April, lower than the previously reported 24.1% fall in March.
Japan nationwide department store sales declined 0.5% YoY in April, as compared to a 3.9% increase in the previous month.
Japan's Leading Economic Index rose to 97.9 in March from a revised reading of 97.4 in February. Meanwhile, the coincident economic index, which measures the current economic situation, rose to 93.8 in March from 92.5 in the previous month.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, Italy's industrial orders grew 1.6% MoM in March from a 2.5% fall in the prior month. However, on an annual basis, industrial orders declined 10.0%.
The Chicago Fed's National Activity Index declined to -0.53 in April from -0.23 in March.
